True or False: Peregrine Falcons can fly 200 mph

One of their traits that they’re known for is how they hunt. They tend to go after other birds while they’re in flight. They’ll hunt pigeons, ducks, starlings, geese, and songbirds. They’ll gain altitude and then drop into a dive known as stooping, where they can gain speed up to 200 miles per hour. They’ll then grab their prey, or if it’s a bigger bird, they’ll knock it out of the air. They are the Peregrine Falcon.

Snowy owls are beautiful birds of prey, and one of the largest of the owl family in the entire world. They breed in the far north and migrate south during winter months to extend their feeding range. Many areas of southern Canada see a great increase in snowy owl populations during winter. Their primary source of food is tundra lemmings, although they eat many rodents and even small birds.

Vultures keep our environment healthy

Vultures are large birds that eat carrion, the flesh of dead animals. There are 23 species of vulture and they’re divided into two groups: Old World Vultures and New World Vultures. Old World Vultures live in the eastern hemisphere, while New World Vultures live in the western hemisphere.
