What do panthers, pumas, cougars, mountain lions, and catamounts have in common?.
You can find them almost anywhere, except for Australia and Antarctica. They’re members of the Mustelidae family – in fact, they’re the only members of that species that are serious swimmers.
Today, we’re focusing on the Utah Prairie Dog. The only place they’re found is a small area of Utah.
Once considered extinct, these wolves have been one of the world’s most endangered species. This film explores the recovery of the Mexican Wolf, poses questions, and examines the story of Mexican Wolves in a way never seen before.
Wolves have been thought of as “bad” for centuries and that idea has produced tensions between humans and wolves. Too often, wolves will be killed in revenge for taking down livestock when nonlethal methods have been proven to work better at keeping wolves away and livestock safe.
