The prairie night glowed silver under the rising moon. Lady Eleanor Bones stretched her wings beside Sherlock, while Sir Whetson adjusted his feathers with pride.
“Tonight,” whispered Sherlock, “the sky is our map.”
The three owls soared above golden fields, circled quiet barns, and drifted over winding streams. To the untrained eye, it looked like wandering.
