The World's Largest Carnivores

Have you ever wondered what the largest carnivores are? Here are some of the biggest animals on land and in the sea:
 
Polar Bears 
At the shoulder, polar bears are between 3.5 to 5 feet tall. Males can be 770-1,300 pounds, while females are 330-650 pounds. Polar bears are thought to be the largest carnivores that live on land.1
 
Kodiak Bears
These bears are close behind polar bears when it comes to size. They can weigh 1,500 pounds, and when they’re on their hind legs, can stand 10 feet tall.1
 
Bengal Tigers 
These tigers are the largest cats and can weigh up to 500 pounds.2 They are roughly 8-10 feet long. That includes their tails.3
 
Blue Whales 
Blue Whales can reach lengths of 80 to 100 feet. They tend to weigh around 300,000 pounds!4
 
Fin Whales
These whales are in second place behind blue whales.5 They can weigh around 150,000-260,000 pounds. They’re usually somewhere between 82 to 88 feet long.6
 
Giant Manta Rays 
These rays are huge – they are about 30 feet long from fin tip to fin tip. They’re the largest species of ray.5
